Volleyball Hall of Fame Announces Class of 2014 Inductees
The Volleyball Hall of Fame announced today the names of six volleyball legends who will be inducted as the Class of 2014 into its hallowed halls on Oct. 18 in Holyoke, Mass., the sport's birthplace.
The 29th induction class consists of male indoor volleyball player Nalbert Bitencourt of Brazil, female indoor volleyball players Tara Cross-Battle of the United States and Roza Salikhova of the former USSR, female beach volleyball great Sandra Pires of Brazil, indoor coach Joop Alberda of the Netherlands and leader Miloslav Ejem of Czech Republic. Volleyball Hall of Fame Enshrines Three Legends, Honors FIVB Founders
The Volleyball Hall of Fame enshrined three legendary individuals as part of its 28th induction class on Friday evening in the birthplace of the sport, Holyoke, Mass. The Volleyball Hall of Fame also recognized the 14 founding National Federations of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) as its Court of Honor during the gala event. Read More >>
Volleyball Hall of Fame Announces Class of 2013 Inductees
Three volleyball legends will be inducted as the Class of 2013 into the Hall of Fame on Oct. 18 in Holyoke, Mass., the sport's birthplace. In addition, the Volleyball Hall of Fame will recognize 14 nations who helped found the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) with its Court of Honor award. The 28th induction class consists of beach volleyball player Natalie Cook of Australia, women's volleyball player Caren Kemner of the United States and men's volleyball player Vyacheslav Zaytsev of Russia.
